What we heard from
Supply Chain Canada

Based on your responses to our discovery questions, here is how we understand your current situation and goals.

Phase 1: Get to market fast

You want a reseller store live ASAP — selling WKT's safety and compliance courses (WHMIS, TDG, PPE, and more) through your own branded channel, with no platform build required. SCC can also offer members an exclusive 25% discount as a value-add benefit, funded from your revenue share portion.

Phase 2: Full education platform (Fall 2027)

Approximately 25 courses across your SCMP and SMT designation programs. ~100 registrants per course per year. ILT delivery (12–25 sessions per program) plus asynchronous formats (SCORM, PPTs, PDFs).

CRM/LMS Single Sign-On

You need seamless SSO between your CRM and your learning management system so members can access training directly from the member portal without a second login.

Non-member public storefront

Non-members should be able to discover and purchase individual courses at full price, while members access training at their member rate — all from a single, branded experience.

D2L contract renewal: May 1st

Your current D2L contract renews annually on May 1st. This creates a natural decision window to evaluate alternatives and plan a transition ahead of the Fall 2027 launch of your new programs.

New website in development

Your team is building a new website. Content from the existing site will not be retained — your staff will provide all graphic design and text elements. You have a site map ready with the full planned structure.

Phase 1 Note: As you confirmed, Phase 1 would be exclusive to WKT content on the reseller store. The transfer of your own courses to the platform would not happen until Phase 2 at the earliest — making the Reseller model the perfect bridge.

The $2,500 deposit is fully refunded once SCC achieves $5,000 in sales within 12 months. After that point, there are no platform fees — SCC earns 40% on every sale indefinitely.

Example revenue: If SCC sells 500 courses/year at an average of $75 each ($37,500 total), SCC earns $15,000/year with zero overhead.

Why Option 2 is the right fit for SCC

Phase 2 volume fit: ~25 courses × ~100 registrants = ~2,500 course registrations/year. The BYO plan covers this at ~$913/month (including platform fee) — a fraction of typical D2L enterprise pricing.
D2L transition window: With your D2L contract renewing May 1st annually and Phase 2 targeting Fall 2027, there is a clear runway to plan and execute a smooth migration.

Revenue upside: SCC earns 50% on any WKT courses sold through the platform + 100% of revenue from SCC's own courses. Platform costs can be partially offset by course revenue.

Phase 1 → Phase 2 Pathway

Start with Option 1 (Reseller) immediately to build familiarity with the platform and earn revenue from WKT's catalogue. When Phase 2 is ready in Fall 2027, upgrade to the full Storefront Partner model — your existing reseller storefront transitions seamlessly to your full education hub.

Everything in Option 2, plus WKT hosts and powers SCC's entire new website. One platform, one vendor, one branded experience — covering your full digital presence from the homepage to course delivery.

Is Option 3 right for you?

Option 3 makes the most sense if SCC wants to simplify its digital stack and have one partner manage both web presence and learning delivery. Given your new website is still in planning, this is the right time to evaluate. However, the added complexity means a longer timeline — this option would not be ready until Phase 2 at the earliest.

Sign Storefront Partner agreement. WKT's team scopes the full migration: RapidLMS setup, SSO/CRM integration, SCC course content upload, and ILT scheduling configuration.

Full education hub launches. D2L decommissioned. Members and non-members access all training through SCC's branded portal on RapidLMS.

Note on D2L: Your D2L contract renews annually on May 1st — that's a meaningful forcing function. Path 2b avoids paying for another year of D2L you may not need. Path 2a and Path 1 keep your options open while still moving forward. WKT needs more information about your current D2L setup, active learner count, and content scope before confirming a May 1st migration timeline for Path 2b.
